Summer Program

Designed for incoming freshmen

We offer a limited number of openings for this 9-week program. Summer Program includes up to 4 transferable college credits, and an internship! Therapeutic support, life skills coaching, and summer recreational adventures are also included. This program is designed specifically for incoming freshman to practice the academic and social-emotional skills they will need to be successful in any collegiate environment.

College Courses

Students will be enrolled in up to 4 credits of 9-week courses through North Idaho College. The courses count as transferable elective credits, or can also count towards an Associates degree at North Idaho College.

Therapeutic & Life Skills

Summer College Series at NWCS includes a daily therapeutic group, and life skill coaching sessions. The therapeutic group is led by members of the NW College Support Clinical Team, and is focused on issues related to the transition of going to college, and living as an independent young adult. Life Skills Coaching sessions focus on teaching and exposing students to the independent living skills they will need in order to be successful in their next collegiate environment.

Adventures & Community Outings

North Idaho is an amazing place to spend the summer! Our program is located just blocks away from Lake Coeur d’Alene. Students have the opportunity to enjoy staff-led hikes, wake surfing, and paddle boarding. Community activities include movies, BBQs, and game nights. Some weekends may also include staff-led camping trips.
