Sydney Call, LPC

Therapist

Sydney Call, LPC grew up in Southeast Idaho near the Tetons. She grew up playing volleyball and skiing in her free time. At a young age, Sydney found a love for nature when hiking and backpacking in the Sawtooths with her family and friends. Sydney went to undergraduate school at the College of Idaho and has a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Studies but also found a love for psychology. She then went on to get her Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Naropa University. Her studies at Naropa were focused specifically on Wilderness Therapy. In her Clinical Practicum, she developed a therapeutic nature/play program for elementary school aged students. In her Clinical Internship in Bend, Oregon, she worked with children and young adults utilizing play therapy. While there, she also received training in Trauma Informed Care and Expressive Therapy. While in Thailand, Sydney also took a course in Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction and has a background in teaching meditation.

 

Sydney now loves taking students paddle-boarding, on hikes, and being outside whenever possible. She has a passion for helping students to develop healthy coping skills. Sydney loves getting creative with her therapeutic interventions and creates individualized plans for each student.

 

When not at work, you can find her listening to audiobooks, at the lake, or playing with her Bernedoodle named Theo.
