Jesse Garcia, MSW
Program Therapist & Care Coordinator
I enjoy watching students refine their goals, aspirations, and passions. I really appreciate the sense of community that is able to be built among the college student population. Utilizing a strengths based approach to help our students reach their full potential. I knew from a young age that I wanted to be in a profession to help people. I began working in an adolescent program during college and that led me to a career in social work. I earned
Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from Lewis and Clark State College and a Master’s Degree in Social Work from Boise State University. From 2004-2011 I was working with adolescents and young adults within inpatient settings. I was also a Case Manager for the State of Idaho as a Children's Mental Health Clinician, and during this period did outpatient counseling with children and families.
Hobbies:
In my spare time you’ll find me outdoors hiking, boating, or biking. I love to spend time with my family and dogs. My favorite season is football season.
