After working in a community college for ten years, joining the team at Northwest College Support has provided me with the tools and resources that were unavailable in the community college environment to help struggling students. For the last three years, I have served students as a counselor in the Disability and Support Services Program and witnessed the lack of support provided to students with various disabilities. I am passionate about helping these young people find support and success as they navigate their education and career goals. As someone who struggled through school and struggled to find direction in my career, I know how valuable a robust support system can be for a student’s success. I am passionate about the importance of creating an empowered mindset so students can approach their future feeling capable and confident. We all make mistakes and have inherent weaknesses, but they lose their power as we strengthen our mindset and create productive habits. I have a master’s degree in Educational and Clinical Counseling from Azusa Pacific University and a bachelor’s degree in Liberal Studies with a concentration in English.
